Executive Summary

Mission Cloud partnered with Playbill to manage its AWS resources and infrastructure during its transition from a proprietary CMS. The collaboration aimed to address challenges such as handling high-traffic events like the Tony Awards and optimizing cost efficiency.

Mission acted as an extension of Playbill's team, providing expertise in managing AWS infrastructure and optimizing performance. Through that support, Playbill experienced increased productivity, reduced repetitive tasks, and improved cost savings. Mission's assistance in scaling Playbill's infrastructure during high-traffic events resulted in zero outages. The partnership has been highly successful, with Playbill's chief technology officer, Jon Goldman, praising Mission's reliability and prompt response, emphasizing the importance of having a strong AWS partner for long-term business success.

To accelerate application code deployments and lower IT infrastructure costs, CareHubs CTO Corey Shaffer knew cloud computing provided the answer. Shaffer turned to AWS as the ideal environment for the CareHubs infrastructure. He then searched the AWS website for potential partners that could advise and help with infrastructure migration and support. Shaffer found Mission who designed CareHubs’ AWS cloud architecture and then built the production and development environments.

The Challenge

The healthcare industry quickly recognized the value proposition offered by Exosome Diagnostics: the ability to avoid biopsies by using biofluid diagnostics to detect molecular mutations in tumors based on RNA, DNA and proteins extracted from exosomes—cell-derived vesicles present in many body fluids including blood. As several large pharmaceutical companies indicated a desire to form a strategic partnership with Exosome, John Healy, the Vice President of Informatics, realized the time had arrived to increase the company’s technology capacity.

MagellanTV Uses Generative AI for International Expansion

In an effort to expand their global reach, MagellanTV needed to internationalize its content, including foreign-language captioning and foreign-language voice overdubbing. The company enlisted Mission Cloud to leverage the AWS Migration Acceleration Program (MAP) and AWS-native AI services so it could automate the existing manual process of creating and reviewing captions, and add the capability to automatically translate content for dubbing in any language desired.

Mission Cloud conducted an in-depth assessment of the customer’s existing environment and workflow. The company then developed a target-state architecture diagram to upload the data, used AWS services such as Transcribe, Translate and Polly, and integrated with a large language model and Amazon SageMaker for updated and translated files.

Mission Cloud’s solution leverages MAP to automate and accelerate execution. AWS funding was secured for both the assessment and implementation phases of the project. Mission Cloud's expertise in generative AI enables MagellanTV to continue delivering high-quality, accessible content to a broader audience.

Executive Summary

Faced with challenges related to on-premises computing, slow data processing and the need for improved operational efficiency, the Boston Celtics needed an AWS partner that would help streamline data collection, analysis and delivery to coaches and basketball operations analysts, and further modernize sports analytics. By migrating to the AWS Cloud and leveraging Mission Cloud's expertise, the Celtics achieved significant improvements in performance, reduced costs, and enhanced operational efficiency.

The multi-stage approach included a "lift and shift" migration, re-platforming and optimization, automation and modernization. The results were impressive, with data processing time reduced by over 75%, operational expenses significantly reduced, and resiliency and performance improved. Mission Cloud's support enabled the Celtics to focus on their core strengths while benefiting from a robust and scalable cloud infrastructure.

Executive Summary

The AI-powered software company partnered with Mission Cloud to automate the creation of training course templates for healthcare professionals using generative AI. The solution, developed with Amazon Bedrock and Anthropic Claude 2, streamlined the processing of videos, PDF files, DOCX files, and images, thus speeding up the development and delivery of structured training programs.

Amazon Titan Multimodal Embeddings G1 enabled the conversion of images into searchable vectors, which allowed for the extraction and retrieval of relevant images from source materials. The customer now has access to a generative AI solution that streamlines the training material development process.

Executive Summary

Inefficient and Excel-based legacy processes for data collection, ingestion, and analysis were hindering how quickly this firm could make actionable decisions and develop new iterations of its time-sensitive pharmaceutical tests. The fast-scaling biotech company tapped Mission Cloud and its data, analytics, and machine learning (DAML) services to deliver AWS modernization that could provide significant and immediate improvements. Mission Cloud successfully transformed the biotech’s data and analytics infrastructure by eliminating previously manual requirements, improving time-to-analytics from days to minutes, and giving staff a near-instant and 360-degree view of its test results utilizing Amazon Quicksight as a visualization engine. The existing process, which once took weeks, now only takes minutes, transforming the time-to-market and development pipeline.

Smitty’s Supply, Inc. is the largest privately owned and operated manufacturing distributor of custom oils and lubricants in the United States. Challenged with an opaque and out-of-support on-prem infrastructure and reeling after a ransomware attack, Smitty’s needed a dependable new infrastructure that it could trust for the future. Without deep cloud expertise in house, Smitty’s also required a hands-on cloud services partner able to spearhead its migration, perform ongoing cloud management, and provide effective in-depth training for internal personnel. On a tight two-month deadline, Mission completed Smitty’s migration of their Microsoft Windows workloads to AWS ahead of schedule and under budget, while also delivering training and equipping the enterprise with a transparent and resilient cloud infrastructure built for Smitty’s future.
